Vernon Dutton, Civil War author reenactor

Vernon Dutton will be giving a lecture at the Newton House in El Dorado, AR, on the establishment and recruiting of the premier 3rd Arkansas Volunteer Infantry Regiment of the Army of Northern Virginia. This address will cover specifically how and when the regiment’s two companies raised from Union County, AR were recruited; plus Vernon’s commentary will follow the regiment to Virginia and how ultimately it was merged into the famed Hood’s Texas Brigade. Videos and maps will give an accurate and chronological explanation of the 3rd Arkansas during its illustrious existence. Come join us at the Newton House at 7:00PM in El Dorado, AR.
